A quick note to let all our friends know about the excitement that this Saturday, December 18th holds for beer lovers in, around, or visiting Vermont! Lawson's Finest will be making our winter farmer's market debut for this season in Montplier, VT at the Vermont College Gym (corner of College St. and State St.) with an array of brews, including the special release of our first-ever maple barrel aged, Fayston Maple Imperial Stout! This beer was brewed last spring and rested for nearly 9 months, using an American Oak barrel from Saxton's River Distillery (VT), maker of Sapling Maple Liquor. Oh my! While this beer may certainly be enjoyed now and over the holidays, I highly recommend restraint, as like a wine, it will continue to mature for years to come. Try waiting a year or more....if you can.
We'll offer samples for tasting ($1 each) and 120 bottles (of 180 total) of the BA FMIS for sale with a 2 bottle/person limit at $30/750ml. I also have some extra special stocking stuffers! This beer in a single serving 187ml nipper for $8! (48 bottles only at the market, 2/pp limit). You don't need company to open that one :) ---- Keep in mind, this beer represents a huge investment of time, resources, and two entire batches (yes, that's two whole brew days!) to fill one oak barrel. I hope you enjoy the results as much as I do. Whew...

Red Spruce Bitter (4% abv) - 2010 Holiday Ale with Spruce tips and cinnamon
Paradise Ale (6% abv) - Lawson's hoppy amber ale for the winter season
Double Sunshine IPA (8% abv) - $9/22oz - Our new mouthful of juicy hop sensations
Hopzilla Double IPA (9% abv) - $12/750ml - Pucker up!
And maybe...just maybe a few surprises, like our 2009 Hillside Cider, a Vermont-pressed and blended stock of apples designed by Terry Bradshaw of Lost Meadow Cidery in Calais, VT for world-class hard cider making!
