Maple Tripple - 2012 World Beer Cup - Silver Medal!

Whew! I am just back from a whirlwind trip to California for the Craft Brewers Conference, the World Beer Cup awards, a visit to far away family, of course - a ton of great beer! Lawson's has great news to share with you all.

Silver Medal
Specialty Beer

Lawson's Finest is honored to be recognized among the world's best beers and breweries! The Maple Tripple is a unique strong ale (11% abv) brewed only once per year in the spring with 100% concentrated maple sap, then aged for a full year before bottling, lending a rich, complex and distinctly Vermont character to this beer.

Congratulations as well to our friends and second Vermont winner – The Alchemist, with a Silver Medal in the British Style Imperial Stout with “Luscious” an amazing beer that survived the flooding of Irene.

The World Beer Cup is recognized as "The Olympics of Beer!" The ninth bi-annual competition boasted the strongest field of entrants on record, with 799 breweries from 54 countries and 45 U.S. states entering 3,921 beers in 95 beer style categories, making this the largest and most prestigious commercial beer competition in existence.
