Waitsfield Farmers Market - August 11

Summer just flies by! Been so busy that the blog has fell woefully behind...here we go:

This Saturday at the Waitsfield Farmers Market from 9am to 1pm, Lawson's Finest will be offering sample tastings and bottle sales.

We will have plenty of Double Sunshine IPA in bottles, and this weekend it will only be available at the Waitsfield Farmers Market! Any remaining bottles after the market will go to Warren Store. If you arrive at the Market before 11am, you should be able to purchase Double Sunshine IPA (we ran out at 10:30 am last market and have more bottles to sell for tomorrow).

As usual, our bottle limit as the Farmers Market is 4 bottles per person, per variety of beer.

This will be the third of four planned bottle releases of the 2011 Maple Tripple Ale (next up Sept. 15 farmers market), and if any bottles remain, they will be offered on Oct. 6 at the Farmers Market. I am also pleased to release the second half of the 2010 Farmhouse Rye! This big beer (11%abv) is a strong Belgian ale, aged for nearly a year and a half in a French oak barrel that formerly held a French white  wine, and the beer is finished in the barrel with champagne yeast and Brettanomyces (wild yeast).

2010 Farmhouse Rye (11%) - $30/750ml

Double Sunshine IPA - $9/22oz
Chinooker'd IPA - $8/22oz
Session in The Rye - $7/22oz
Knockout Blonde - $7/22oz**

** - subject to being bottled in time for the market. (Bottling of Knockout Blonde is planned for Friday, 8/10)

I got so busy, we missed a bunch of stuff to post on the blog. Here's a quick run-down.

Thanks to the Kleban brothers (Dan and David), we brewed up a dark hoppy ale (call it a Black IPA if you will :-) in June and debuted it at the Vermonnt Brewers Festival. Its called "Collaboration Time #1." It went out in bottles and draft on July 20th and is all but gone. The Warren Store may still have bottles, call ahead to confirm stock.

Thanks to everyone that attended the VT brew fest, it was a blast as always, the weather was perfect, and the variety of great brews was outstanding!

Just returned from Belgium Comes to Cooperstown event at Brewery Ommegang. Its one of the best festivals around!

Our wholesale distributor, The Beer Guy, LLC is helping to distribute an amazing beer brewed by Mark Mageria of The Bobcat Cafe and Brewery.
