A Look Ahead....

This Week in Beer

The seasons are a changin' and so is our beer line-up! This week brings you my annual rendition of Vermont Local Hop Harvest Ale! It is an American Pale Ale that comes in at 5.0% ABV and was brewed with a variety of local hops, including a few pounds grown right outside the brewery! The beer was dry-hopped with some of the first-ever pelletized local Cascade hops from Bill Powell's hop farm up in Calais, VT, thanks to the efforts of UVM and the VT Dept. of Agriculture folks who have developed a small scale hop pelletizer at their Alburg hop farm. I hope you enjoy it!

In the fermenters....Next week will bring you the debut of our newest Double IPA - Kiwi!
It is massively charged with Nelson Sauvin and Pacific Jade hops from New Zealand, clocks in at 8.1% and has a wonderfully rich and dank aroma! The week of 12/10 will bring you our newest incarnation of Paradise Pale Ale! Very hop forward, yet nicely balanced, session-able 4.9% abv. Look for it to be on tap regularly this winter at Mad River Glen ski area's Stark Pub. Fayston Maple Imperial Stout and our once annual Red Spruce Bitter (4.5% english-style ESB with spruce tips and cinnamon) are on the way for the holiday season....

Montpelier Farmer's Market

Visit www.montpelierfarmersmarket.com for directions and info about all the amazing vendors!
(note: winter location is at Vermont College Gym at junction of East State St. and College St.)

PLEASE - don't everyone plan to arrive at 9:45 am...we have PLENTY of beer and you do not need to be there at the very start of the market to have access to our entire selection....AND please support the other vendors at the market especially if you have traveled to shop....there is a fantastic array of vegetables, meats, crafts, prepared foods, maple syrup and more!

With holiday shopping in mind, I am bringing to you an epic selection of Lawson's Finest beverages that you will never find in the store all at once...and some not at all!

The list please.....

  1. Very exciting stuff in this entry. Is there a bottle limit for offerings at this farmers market?
