Sometimes it take a while to get up-to-date on the blog, so here we go!
Permagrin Rye P.A. is back!
The 2010 incarnation of our Permagrin Rye Pale Ale (6%) features a new recipe that I hope you find even more delicious. The base malt is now a heartier Munich, while Crystal Rye and Toasted Rye Flakes have been added to give a richer rye character and mouthfeel. You'll find the color is slightly darker and overall the beer a bit more balanced, yet still featuring a healthy dose of flavorful hops including Simcoe, Centennial, and Amarillo.
Third Anniversary Brew!
I dug deep into the archives and have re-brewed the very first receipe used in our current brewhaus! This beer was first tapped around St. Patty's day at Mad River Glen in 2008, and hasn't been brewed again since. Our Sugarhouse IPA is a classy lupulin-forward mouthfull of Summit and Columbus hops backed by a medium-bodied Vermont-style pale ale rounded by three varieties of Cara malts and our favorite Gambrinus pale malted barley. It will be available for a limited time during this March on draft and in bottles.
Montpelier Farmer's Market - March 5, 2010 - 10 am
This Saturday, I'll be a the market again with the remaning 7 cases of Bourbon Barrel-Aged Fayston Maple Imperial Stout - 84 bottles while they last. In order spread out the availability and crowd, we will be holding two cases of each beer until 12pm noon to make available at that time. Here's this market's offering:
BBA FMIS - 750ml - $30 (no limit)
Double Sunshine IPA - 22oz- $9 (limit 2/person)
Knockout Blonde Ale - 22oz - $7 (limit 2/person)
2009 Hillside Hard Cider - 750ml - $12 (no limit)
Lawson's 2009 vintage hard cider is fermented exclusively with champagne yeast and 100% apple juice pressed at Lost Meadow Cidery in Calais, VT. It has been carefully cellar-aged for a year and a half! If the Sugarhouse IPA is adequately conditioned later this week, I will also be offering that in 22oz bottles as well.
Cheers!
So the Rye will not be available at the Farmer's Market?
ReplyDeleteHi Henry,
ReplyDeleteThat is correct. It was out in bottles last week and is now on tap at the Common Man restaurant in Warren. Permagrin will return at the end of next week for bottles to the Warren Store.
Cheers!
Sean
Thanks for the update Sean. Any word on the Sugarhouse IPA for tomorrow?
